Charles Reinagel was a loving father, brother, son to his family. He was a mentor, friend and inspirational motivator in his professional and personal life. We mourn the passing of an amazing human being. Charles touched the lives of many people in the short span of his years and he will be long remembered.
Charles was born in Buffalo, New York. He was the second son of Edward and Mary Reinagel. As early as twelve years of age, Charles was already displaying his potential as a leader, when he was thrust into the role of guardian and keeper of some of his younger siblings during one of the infamous winter blizzards in Upstate New York. He continued to be a helper, employer, counselor and friend to his siblings for many years after this time.
Charles' high-school years were spent at Salpointe Catholic High School in Tucson, Arizona where he excelled in athletics, particularly basketball. His dynamism and charisma were well-known already and even contributed to his election as Homecoming King in his Senior year.
Charles began his career in the mid-1980's as a Commercial Real Estate Appraiser working for the firm of Burke, Hansen, Homan and Klafter in Tucson, Arizona. In 1989 he moved to Los Angeles, California and proceeded to take the real estate appraisal world by storm. Charles worked his way up through the ranks of CB Richard Ellis and Cushman & Wakefield to become one of the premier appraisers in the nation.
Charles will be lovingly remembered by his father, Edward and step-mother, Kathleen, his siblings, Peter, Andrew, Maria, E J, Carrie, Mary Grace and Dorothy and by his family, Christine, his son, Chandler and daughter, Morgan.
The family will receive friends, colleagues and all those who knew and admired him for a Memorial Service at American Martyrs Church in Manhattan Beach, California on Thursday, July 3rd at 11:00am.
