Charlotte L. Tarkington

Of Rancho Palos Verde CA, died April 18, 2008. She was born on December 01, 1936 in Flint Michigan. She passed away peacefully with her family at her side after a brave battle with lung cancer. She is survived by her husband of 53 years Daniel (Stoney) Tarkington. Son Ray (Gayle) Tarkington, Daughters Joanne (Michael) Tarkington Johnson, Shari (James) Lay. Grandchildren, Cole, Chase, Daniel, Kyle, Raelyn & Charlotte. Brother-in-law Booth (Lois) Tarkington. Four brothers Donald, Jack, Carl & Jerry Convis, and four Sisters Faye, Evelyn, Caroline, Marie and many Nephews and Nieces. Charlie was an active member of San Pedro Emblem Club #451 and Redondo Beach Dears, past president of Gardena Emblem Club #257 and Elk's Senior Gulf Club. Charlie will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends for all the love, joy and friendship she gave so freely. She loved being with her family, friends and traveling. She was a person of many hats (literally) There will be a Celebration of Her Life at Redondo Beach Elks Club, 315 Esplanade, Redondo Beach on Sunday April 27th from 1 pm to 6pm. A private interment, for family only, will be held at Green Hill Cemetery Friday May 9, 2008 at 2:30pm. Please sign the guest book at www.dailybreeze.comJobits.
