

Chris Steele was born in Torrance, California on November 19, 1957 in Torrance, CA at Harbor UCLA. He attended Mira Costa High School in Hermosa Beach, CA. In 1979, Chris became a licensed electrician but chose to work in the printing industry from 1983 to 1992 with such companies as Sky Harbor Press and Lithographix. The day that we was to start at Lithographix, February 21, 1984, he had to call his boss and let him know that he would not be starting because his daughter Valerie was being born. After leaving Lithographix, Chris worked with Overland Printers in Hawthorne, CA until 1992. Chris then went on to work for Metro Video as an installer. Throughout the years, Chris worked his way to the position of Systems Integrator and retired in 2013 as the Head of Operations for Metro Video.
Chris had a passion for life and for his family which never waned even as his health declined. Prior to his passing, he was surrounded by friends and family as they came to say their final farewells. On June 1, 2017 at 3:20 A.M., Chris passed away peacefully at his home in Redondo Beach, CA with his wife and daughter, Valerie, by his side.
Chris is survived by his Mother, Shirley ( A.K.A Boots) Barrier, His Step-Father, Edward Barrier, his wife, Denise, his daughters, Valerie and Nicole, his Son-in-Laws, Geoff Lloyd and Jeff Bree, his six grandchildren, Kyla, Elyssa, Geoffrey, Faith, William, Johnny, and many other family and friends who he considered family.
Services for Christopher will be held at Rice Mortuary in Torrance, CA on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 10:00 A.M.
