Consorcia “Connie” was born on June 22, 1942, in Balagan San Mariano, Isabela, Philippines, and went home to be with the Lord on June 6, 2026, in Torrance, CA. surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was the ninth of eleven children of the late Tomas Abadilla Sr. and Patricia Pablo.
Connie’s deep compassion for others led her to pursue a career in health care. She studied nursing at St. Anne’s Hospital School of Nursing in the Philippines, and soon after graduation, began her journey to Canada, where she worked as a Registered Nurse. With the loving persuasion of her sister Edith, Connie later migrated to the United States to join her siblings, Ross and Edith, who had migrated abroad years earlier. Connie dedicated her life to serving as a Dialysis Nurse for more than three decades. She was respected by her colleagues as a field expert and dearly loved by the many patients she had the privilege to care for.
One of Connie’s most enduring legacies is her unwavering love for her family. She and her siblings helped support their nephews and nieces in the Philippines, enabling many to pursue a college education by assisting them with housing. Connie extended that same generosity throughout her life, opening her home to family and friends. She became lovingly known as “Mama Con,” a mother figure to all her nephews and nieces.
Connie found joy in cooking, gardening, and playing mahjong. She traveled widely, visiting family and friends around the world, always bringing her warmth wherever she went.
She is survived by her brothers, Warlito Sr. and Marcelino; and her nephew, Warlito Jr. “Bobby”; her sisters-in-law; and the entire family, who loves her and will miss her dearly.
