Slater, Daniel Thomas a 6 year resident of Hermosa Beach, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2005 in Harbor City. Born in Santa Monica, CA, Daniel was 49 when he died. He was a lifelong resident of the South Bay and was a 25 year employee of Ralphs Grocery Store. He is survived by Wife, Donna Greenwood - Slater of Hermosa Beach, CA, Sister, Fran Cushman of Hemet, CA, Sister, Christine Marquez of Hemet, CA, Sister, Patricia Phillips of San Diego, CA, Brother, John Slater of Petaluma, CA, Many nieces and nephews and countless friends. Preceded in death by: Mother, Alice Slater and Father, Daniel Slater. The Service will be held at Rice Mortuary Chapel on Saturday, October 8, 2005 at 3:00 P.M. with a reception afterward from 4:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. Following the reception at the mortuary, there will be a reception at the Hermosa Saloon. A private Scattering at Sea will take place after services.
