Beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, passed away peacefully at home on August 29, 2013, at the age of 55. He was born on December 6, 1957, in Los Angeles, CA to Joe and Helen Cancino. He is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Ermelinda; three daughters: Yolanda, Elaine, and Melinda; seven grandchildren; mother Helen; sister Rosie; brothers Danny and Dennis; and faithful dog, Bella. He was a successful contractor and businessman who was a pioneer in the field of decorative concrete. His career began with Cancino & Medina Construction Co. and he later became co-owner of Cancino and Sons Engineering, before founding his own company, David T. Cancino Custom Concrete, and most recently, MAD Engineering. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting, and other outdoor activities, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy. A gathering of family and friends and the Service will be held at Lighthouse Memorials & Receptions – McMillan Center in Gardena on Sunday September 8, 2013 from 1:30pm until 6:00pm.
