
As a youth, David played football and baseball at Carson Park on teams coached by his dad. He was a member of the Hellcats Little league Team that won a L.A. City championship in 1967.
David found interest in custom low-rider cars of the 50’s and 60’s and loved the Oldies but Goodies music of the same eras. David had a passion for dogs, and loved candy - especially plain M&M’s.
David became a Born Again Christian in his 20’s, but struggled with the sin of alcoholism. His sin has been covered by the blood of Jesus and his family rejoices that he is in Heaven.
He is survived by his Mother, Mary Olvera of San Jacinto, CA, Sister, Teresa Krutell of Torrance, CA, Sister, Angelina Andrelus of Lake Elsinore, CA, Brother, Victor Olvera of San Diego, CA and Brother, Robert Olvera Jr. of Torrance, CA. Preceded in death by his Father, Robert Olvera. A gathering of family & friends will be held at Rice Mortuary Chapel on Sunday, May 20, 2007 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. A graveside service, officiated by Pastor Stef Mitrano of Calvary Chapel of South Bay, will be held at Green Hills Memorial Park on Monday, May 21, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow.
