Dennis Solis Teves

May 11, 1946 – March 17, 2026

Dennis was born on May 11, 1946, in the Philippines. He passed away in his home on March 17, 2026. His wife, Evelyn G. Teves, his father, Ybarra R. Teves, his mother, Purificacion S. Teves, his three sisters, Benita S. Teves, Jo Anne Teves Sienes, and Melody S. Teves, and his two brothers, Steve S. Teves and Lawrence S. Teves, preceded him in death. He is survived by his two sons, Dennison and Donovan, his three sisters, his two brothers, and numerous nephews and nieces.

Dennis married Evelyn on May 20, 1970. They immigrated to the United States in December of 1972. Dennis has been a resident of Lawndale, California, for over 50 years.

Dennis worked as a tool and die maker for many years for companies like Leggett and Platt, Nardon Manufacturing, and Maxwell Products. Prior to his retirement, he performed quality assurance tests for products at Virco Manufacturing. He was an active parishioner of St. Catherine Laboure Church as a member of the St. Catherine Jubilate Deo choir, singing bass.

Dennis loved to spend time with family and friends. He would go fishing and deep-sea fishing with family and friends. He would play golf with family and friends. During one golf game, he was able to get a hole-in-one.

Dennis especially loved to travel with Evelyn. They visited various cities and countries with family and friends. They traveled cross country with family from California to New York. They traveled to Europe with family and friends and visited several countries, including England, Amsterdam, France, Portugal, Italy, and Germany. They have traveled to Canada, Cancun, Greece, the Bahamas, and the Virgin Islands. They traveled to the Philippines many times to visit family and friends. They have been on a Catalina-Ensenada cruise, a western Caribbean cruise and a Mediterranean cruise.

Dennis was a man of few words, who was kind, gentle, and humble. He has traveled to many places and has gone on many adventures. Now he is on a glorious adventure with his loving wife, Evelyn.

Visitation will be held at Lighthouse Memorials & Receptions, Rice Center, 5310 Torrance Blvd, Torrance, California, on April 15, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

The Funeral Mass will be held at St Philomena Catholic Church, 21900 Main Street, Carson, California, on April 16, 2026, at 10:00 am.

The Committal Service will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 5835 W. Slauson Avenue, Culver City, California, around 12:00 pm.
