

Life and Legacy
Born on December 14, 1944, in St. Louis, Missouri, Dennis was the son of Francis and Frances Wong. He spent his formative years in Hilo, Hawaii, which he always considered his home away from home. He moved to California where he received his engineering degree and started his family. He settled in Torrance, California, and pursued a distinguished career as an electrical engineer in the aerospace industry. For over thirty years he worked at Hughes/Raytheon, first as an engineer and then in management. He was highly respected as an intelligent designer and caring manager and mentor.
Dennis was known for his sense of humor, his keen intellect and generous spirit. His top priority was caring for his family and friends; he focused on taking care of others. He had a deep passion for Hawaii, sports, specifically baseball, golf, and poker. He loved going to Las Vegas and even played in the World Series of Poker tournament. Dennis also enjoyed sharing his passions with his family and friends.
Family
Dennis is survived by his loving wife Patti, and his four children, Kim, Jeff, Vincent, and Justin. He is also survived by his siblings, Francine, Roberta, and Douglas, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and close friends who will miss him dearly.
