

Dolores Charroux, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and friend passed away peacefully in May 2026 at the age of 91, in Torrance, California.
Born in Calumet, Michigan in 1935, she lived a long and happy life marked by artistic expression and devotion to family. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree and worked as a medical technologist then later dedicated herself to her family as a homemaker. Her love of painting and drawing led her to earn a degree in art. She worked as a museum curator, as well as an art teacher to both children and adults where she shared her talents with her community. She found joy in painting, theater, music, literature, art, and volunteering that enriched her life and inspired those around her.
In 1962, she married Roger Charroux. They shared 39 years of marriage, raised a family, and traveled the world until his passing in 2001. The family created cherished memories together.
She is lovingly remembered by her five children, seven grandchildren, brother, extended family members, and friends. Her legacy of compassion, artistic expression, generosity, sense of humor, and beautiful smile will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Dolores will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love and gratitude by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. A private family gathering will be held to celebrate her life and honor her memory.
