To the family we extend our condolences.  Don and I were classmates in Redondo from the 1st. grade through High School at RUHS.  That was a long time ago.  Thinking about him brings back many very good memories of our early years.  Don\'s parents and mine were friends also.      To the family, may we express our regrets at his passing. Dear Lyn and family members:   Don was a best friend to me throughout our high school years. We did so many things together, especially as a part of the Methodist Youth Fellowship at the Redondo Methodist Church. He was always very kind and considerate. I was so glad to hear, years later, that you, Lyn, and he had married as you had been such warm and gentle friends. Your loss of Don is great. The world\'s loss is great as well.   God be with you! My condolences to the family of Don.  I was thinking about him just the other day.    I have  a snap shot taken at my 7th birthday party with Don and the "gang"   I\'m glad there was a time that he was in my life.

Lynn:   That was a beautiful service.  I was so glad Norma phoned me so that I could attend.   As you know Don was a close friend while we were at Cal.   I always remember when we first met, he knew my dad through the conection our dads had with Edison.  We became immediate friends.  I still have piano music Don got for me of a piece he sometimes played on the old upright piano in our dorm. When he learned I liked it, very shortly I had my own copy. Don, Norma and I made many trips from Redondo to Berkeley driving up the old 99, Norma usually sound asleep most of the way as you know college students-- we\'d drive straight through and usually it would be late at night.    The spoken words at the service were so "yes, that\'s Don" to me --- always quick to jump in and help. When I first opened my office he guided me in the Heathkit to buy for a background music radio, and helped (did most of) the putting the kit together and installation of the system.   It was such a great surprise to find you two at Chapman at the concert where both Alan and our daughter were performing.  We\'d lost touch so I\'d not seen either of you for so long.  Don and I managed to connect for lunch one time after that.   Lynn, my heart goes out to you in the loss of Don.  What great memories you have of a wonderful life together.
