I will never forget the crazy road trip I had with my girlfriends through the States, arriving in Phoenix in the middle of the night and getting to visit my baby cousin (you were 8, I was 20)! 
You have always been such a special part of our family and while our times together were far too few, they were oh so precious, and always treasured.

32 incredible years, lived and loved to the fullest.

I joined the service from NZ this morning to farewell my beautiful cousin.  Such a privilege to hear your stories of him and what a wonderful man he was. Thank you. I only met Dylan a few times, as a baby! (I was 8 or 9?) and then as young adults when he visited NZ. But we share a great and precious family bond. Here in NZ we love Dylan very much and are devastated he's been taken from this life so soon. Sharing your stories of his life has helped to know him that bit better and feel that bit closer as we may have been if not robbed of future years. Much much love to you Uncle Chris, and to you Deborah. Sending big love and bear hugs to you my cousin on this next stage of your spiritual journey... I can feel your love shining back at us xx

Dylan, our baby cousin. 

We grew up together but apart. 

I heard stories about you via Granny Peg and Grandad Noel, saw pictures of you kept lovingly in cards sent from the big foreign land of America. I remember a coffee cup that lived in the cupboard of their kitchen which had a picture of you as a boy and Uncle Chris together printed on it. I was never allowed to use that cup, it was too special. You were so special to them and to us. 

Even though we didn't meet in person many times, you were such a part of our family and so deeply adored by us all. So gentle and clever and charming. I wish we had more time.

Thank you for providing Zoom service so I could attend virtually. I knew Dylan in his earlier life in Phoenix, AZ. Deborah and I were pregnant at the same time, and our babies played together early in their childhoods. That is the part of Dylan's "dash" I will carry in my heart, that sweet, smart little blonde boy with such a big heart!

To Dylan’s family, my heart goes out to you and my deepest condolences for the loss of Dylan, I worked with him for a little over a year and his attitude was always a highlight of my day, interacting with him was always a joy and he always asked the best questions, he was a brilliant young man with the ability to do anything he set his mind to and he will be greatly missed

Our sympathies to Dylan´s family and friends on his loss and we pray for their comfort. Dylan was such a beautiful soul. I was privileged and blessed to have the opportunity to train with Dylan in Aikido and to get to know him as a person. Initially shy and hesitant, I saw Dylan develop in spirit, confidence, and skills, and being able to train with him brought me great joy. Throughout his journey, Dylan always had a beautiful smile and exhibited his kind nature. In his time at the dojo, he touched many of us and he will live on with us as we cherish the fond memories we have of him.

Chris and Deborah, sending you both my deepest love and praise for raising such a great man. I have been working with Dylan for a little over a year now. We both started the same day and it was definitely comforting knowing that I had someone to rely on and get through the ups and downs of a new job with. 

Right of the bat, we grew close and started finding out that we had a lot in common from our love of dogs to practically being neighbors living in Torrance. It is very rare to find someone that is so eager to learn, someone so patient and someone unapologetically genuine. 

Dylan was one of a kind I always looked forward to hearing his opinions and perspective on things both work related and outside of work. He was truly a tactician when it came to getting things done, so much so that we had an ongoing joke where I would try to get him to admit he was a cyborg. I never got a chance to tell him but he always motivated me to just be - better.  

Dylan will be greatly missed and I am so so so grateful we were able to share many laughs and memories together.

Dylan was an inspiration with his ambition and drive and dedication to the work he loved as well as his family.  Thinking of all of his loved ones and sending healing prayers that will bring comfort and peace  and  blessings in his memory.

To Dylan and his family. My name is Dallas, and I worked with Dylan. We grow close, even though we worked remotely. We shared our stories together, he helped me edit my script, and I gave him notes on his comic. I was very impressed with the art he was making for it, and was so eager to see where it would go. I am deeply, deeply saddened to hear this news. Dylan was a great guy, and a good friend. Always listened, was open minded and open hearted. Even in the short time I knew him, I knew he was a good man, and a kind soul. My heart again goes out to his family and friends, godbless you all, and godspeed Dylan.

Deborah:  My heart is overwhelmed in learning of the loss of Dylan.  My memories from seeing him over the years at the AAPA office are of a pleasant young man with such a nice and genuine smile.  I know him through you when inquiring about how he was doing and what he was involved in - it seems Dylan was always working on a new project.  Your pride in him and his life was justified and he always knew he was loved.  Special caring thoughts are sent to you and his father, with love and prayers.

Deborah---My heart breaks for you and your family. I can't imagine the pain you must be going from losing a wonderful son. I am glad we had the chance to meet Dylan and got to know him better through you. I know a big piece of your heart is gone and want you to know that we are here for you. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Sending you lots of love and hugs.

Dear Deborah, my heart is absolutely breaking for you. During my nine years at AAPA, we spoke so often of our "kids" and screenwriting and film interests that Dylan and my Sarah shared. The very few times I got to see him in our office, he radiated a beautiful gentle spirit.  I had always hoped to get to know him better. Please know that you are in my prayers, from one mother's heart to another.

What a light you were to this world. I can still see your smile and hear your laugh that I remember from the moments I saw you at AAPA events. Your mother was and is so incredibly proud of you and all that you accomplished. We spoke about you even just this week and the joy you brought to her because of your journey on this earth. I am a sending all my love to your family and your parents who are experiencing such a profound loss from your passing from this earth.

We didn't get to meet enough & spend more time together, but when we did, it was strange, funny, natural and  awesome! Grateful for that.
