Edward Kalokomaikai Akau, 93, of Torrance, died Jan. 25, 2008. He was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. Services will be at 10 a.m. on Feb. 5, at Rice Mortuary, 5310 Torrance Blvd. Torrance, CA. Interment will be in Redondo Beach, Pacific Crest Cemetery following services. Rice Mortuary is handling the arrangements. Casual attire. Mr. Akau, lived in Torrance 12 years. In Hawaii, he was previously, a member of the Kamehameha Lodge, Hale Na Ali'i Club and the Screen Actors Guild. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Martha; two sons, Eddie, of Hemet, Larry, of Buena Park, and daughter, Sharon Fox, of Torrance; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
