I have many memories of my friendship with lisa. The first time I met her was at a New Years party in 1985. As I saw her standing there for a bit not talking to anyone, I gathered enough courage to talk to a very pretty girl for a moment. Being shy and feeling awkward most of high school had made me hesitant to approach someone as attractive as her, but I was only home on leave for a few more days before returning to the military. I was pleasantly surpised by her conversation and her interest in what I had to say that in a way she helped me feel less awkward at gatherings. I literally thought of that meeting if I felt shy at a party when meeting new people. She did not know it, but her kindness had improved my self image a great deal that night.

When I met Lisa over 15 yrs ago I had no idea the impact she would have on my development as a human being.  Lisa taught me the importance of friendship as she allowed me to express myself without fear of judgement.  We shared laughter, fears, and secrets with one another as we supported each other through the rough times in our lives.  Her impact is on my soul. I will miss her terribly.

Lisa was my friend and lover for more than 12 years. I have many special memories of our times together and will treasure them always.       The world seems a smaller, colder place without her presence. At the same time, I know that our lives are much better because of the gift of 47 years of her beautiful spirit.       She had one of the biggest hearts of anyone I've known. Her kindness and sensitivity will be remembered by everyone who knew her.       Lastly, I must thank her on behalf of the animals. She was a voice for the voiceless, caring for those in need who could not care for themselves. Her home and her heart were shelters built of unconditional love and compassion.       The lives of so many souls were touched by Lisa. She has left an indelible mark on my life, for which I will be forever grateful.       Thank you, Lisa, for everything. I have many memories of Lisa, especially in the years that she and Randy were together, that I will always treasure.   Just last week, my family and I were watching a family video of our New Year's Weekend at our home in Pine Mtn, CA with Lisa frolicking and sledding in the snow with Randy, Craig  and I and our kids, Max & Tess . Lisa, being the most fearless amoung us, was the first to slide down the steepest of snow covered slopes, laughing all the way and encouraging the rest of us to go for it.   I spent many long heartfelt hours filled with giggles and "girl talk" and she was a wonderful friend . I will always remember her warm heart and her beauty and how I loved her.

TO Lisa's Family~      Although we have not met, my heart goes outto you during this time. I trust the memories of your adorable daughter will sustain you throughout this time and beyond. What an exceptional woman she will always be to me and to the world she so gently touched , ...Peace to you.   Diane

Dear Lisa,      I'm told that Death has taken you away from us. Yet, I can easily hear your laughter and see your smile.       Your Spirit no longer illumines and animates your physical body, yet it is here still -- for I can feel your caring nature and sweet kindness.
