Florence C. Lynch

Florence C. Lynch, age 80, passed away at her home in Torrance on September 15, 2003. She was born February 3, 1923 in Chicago IL. In October of 1946 she married John H. Lynch. They lived in Chicago until moving to California in 1952. In 1966 John died and she raised her four children on her own in a loving family home. She was a devoted mother who was always involved in her children's lives. Her hobbies included sewing, cooking, reading and doing crafts. She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Catherine Laboure parish for many years. She is survived by her daughter Marie (Jim) of Helena, Montana, son Chris (Charlotte) of Gardena, daughter Pattie of Norco and son Larry (Stephanie) of Torrance; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 17, 2003, 1:00PM-5:00PM at Rice Mortuary, 5310 Torrance Blvd., Torrance. Vigil Services will be held that same evening at 7:15PM at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, Torrance. Funeral Mass will be Thursday, September 18, 2003, 10:00AM also at St. Catherine Laboure, Torrance. Interment will be Friday, September 19, 2003 at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in Point Loma, CA.
