
Miller, Florence Louise, a native Californian who lived a total of 51 of her 84 years in Los Angeles County, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2006 in Rancho Palos Verdes. Born in Long Beach, CA, Florence had a true "Joie de Vivre". She loved to paint and travel, but family was the center of her life. Florence married the love of her life, William Miller in 1942, with whom she shared 64 wonderful years. She raised nine children and she was a devoted mother and friend to each of them. She will be deeply missed by each and every one of her surviving children. In 1989, Florence and Bill moved to Princeville, Kauai, where they spent some of the happiest years of their life together. She was an extremely strong woman and was a friend to all who knew her. Her friends referred to her as the "Unsinkable Molly Brown", for her ability to overcome any obstacle she was faced with. Florence was a member of St. Lawrence Martyr Church, serving as a Guild Captain when the Guilds were first established at St. Lawrence. She also belonged to St. John Fisher Church in Rancho Palos Verdes. She is survived by Husband, William Miller of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, Daughter, Mary Ellen Black of Sandy, UT, Son, James Miller of Palos Verdes Estates, CA, Son, William Miller Jr. of Marina Del Rey, CA, Daughter, Margaret Crooks of San Marcos, CA, Daughter, Patricia Hampton of Moorpark, CA, Son, Tom Miller of Ventura, CA, Daughter, Nancy Miller of San Clemente, CA and Daughter, Theresa Depue of Tustin, CA. She is also survived by 15 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Son, Stanley Miller, Mother, Jimmie Riffenberger, Step-Father, Louie Riffenberger, Father, Raymond Munsell and Grandson, Gregory McClure. A gathering of family & friends will be held at McCormick Redondo Beach Chapel on Sunday, September 24, 2006 from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a Vigil Service at 7:00 P.M. The funeral Mass will be held at St. Lawrence Martyr Church on Monday, September 25, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes.
