Frank Cerda

Frank Cerda was born June 6, 1919 in Hermosa Beach, CA and passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2013. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Sara Cerda (Alva). He is survived by his sister, Margaret Cortez; daughters Helen DeGrasse (Doug Amato), Mary Ann Massaro (Joe), and Hope Butcher (Bill); son Frank Phillip and foster son Richard Amaya; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He served in the US Army in WWII. He worked for Standard Oil/Chevron for 35 years and was a parishioner with St. James Catholic Church for 58 years. A Vigil will be held on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 7:00 P.M. at Rice Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at St. James Catholic Church in Redondo Beach, reception will follow, with internment to follow at Green Hills Memorial Park, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. Family would like to thank loving caregivers Raquel Suhr and Melanie (Loni) Brieva for their loving care and family support.
