Our Uncle Gabino, a wonderful brother and uncle. Uncle Gabino and Aunt Arcelia were there for us when our father passed away.  We were very young.  They took us on many memorable trips.  They took us camping and hiking, we even got lost once.  The Rescue Team had to be called.  Obviously, we were found.  They took us to Magic Mountain to help us get over the loss of our father.  There were many other trips and visits. They were always there for us.  They really enjoyed being with all of us as much as we enjoyed being with them.  Even now that we are adults and have families Uncle Gabino was the same with our children.  He loved to go to the kids baseball games.  When we visited him, he loved to take the kids to the park and the beach.  He was a wonderful God Father to Nicholas who he called Nick-O-Las.  Uncle Gabino, we will miss your contagious laugh. Gabino was the best brother. He was always there for me and my family. He was also my bestfriend.  Gabino was a wonderful son to our mom and dad.  He was very caring and generous. Para mi mis tios Gabino y Arcelia siempre han sido como inmortales, yo llegue a pensar que siempre estarian ahi, por ser unas personas tan fuertes, tan llenas de felicidad y amor, dispuestos a dejar todo por la familia. Toda via se me hace increible lo sucedido, pero jamas podre olvidar a mi tio Gabino, ya que fue y siempre sera una tan especial que siempre llevare en el corazon y en mis pensamientos. Tio Gabino, nunca olvidaremos cuando mientras tu disfutabas de una rica cervezita nosotras aprovechabamos el momento para peinarte y dejarte lo pelos parados tu muy agusto te dejabas y claro esa risa que con tan solo escucharla nos ponia de buen humor, siempre fuiste una persona  muy amable con nosotras siempre estaras en nuestros corazones, tia Arcelia lo sentimos mucho no podremos estar ahi pero te mandamos muchos besos y abrazos     WE LOVE YOU!!

Nino, siempre te recordare como un papa que no vivio junto a mi pero sabia q podia contar contigo en todo. Nunca olvidare tu abrazo diciendome "Ese es mi Muchachote", cada vez q me veias. tampoco olvidare tu risa tan contagiosa q  alegraba. siempre vas hacer una persona muy especial para mi y nunca te olvidare. Tia Arcelia no voy a poder ir pero estaras en mi corazon.

Tia siento mucho lo que paso, yo se que estas situaciones duelen muchisimo, pero acuerdate que nos tienes a todos nosotros que te queremos mucho........y no le preguntes a Dios porque te lo quito, sino agradecele que te lo presto por 67 aos. Para el Tio de Tios... le agradesco el haberme enseado a ver la vida tan positivamente, el apreder a tratar a los demas con ese Amor y Cario sincero como lo hacias y todo gracias a algo que nos falta a todos "El Ejemplo". Lograste ensear a tantos de la manera mas facil y mas simple que fue tu INOLVIDABLE RISA. Para mi Tia, Erick, Becky y Armando...solo les quiero decir en las palabras de mi primo Erick... To the Guevara Family . . .      The McHugh and Guevara families have been next-door neighbors for over thirty years.  We have watched our children grow to adulthood and move out of our homes and into the world.  During those years Bob and Gabino would meet on the front lawn or the garage to share the latest trials and tribulations of parenthood.  It was clear that Gabino was very proud of Armando, Becky and Eric.  The wonderful caring adults they are today is most certainly a tribute to the loving parents that raised them.        In the last two years since we became grandparents, Gabino would often see our little granddaughter, Madison, when she came for visits.   If a few weeks went by without  seeing her, he was sure to ask, "How\'s Madison?"  His interest in her touched our hearts.       Bob will always treasure the  memory of the day he and Gabino cornered, then captured , an opossum that took up residence on Gabino\'s roof.  I don\'t know  who was more surprised when they caught it -- Bob, Gabino or the opossum.  It was quite a sight!      Gabino, we will miss your bright smile and infectious laugh. Tio Gabino:   Not all of us were able to come and say our last good-bye to you.But ALL of us are sad to see you go.We pray the Lord He\'ll allow us to join you and Daddy one day too.   I want everybody to know how generous Uncle Gabino and tia    Arcelia were with us the Guevara Vasquez family in Mexicali,Baja California,Mexico.Not just with their love and time,but in any way they could,and they had 3 children to raise!You and your loved ones are and forever will be in our daily prayers.And I can only hope to try and follow the great example of a true Christian my aunt and uncle had given us. TIO GABINO,      I know you can hear me so I will respectfully speak directly to you.  I never got the chance to say how thankfull I am for all you have done for my mother Alicia, my sister Lisa and my self.  You were always there for us through tough times.  I cant thank you enough with words.  Tio, you were not only an uncle to my sister Lisa and I but also a father at many times.  We will never forget the happy memories you and Tia Arcelia brought to our lives when we most needed it.  I remember the smiles you put on our faces as young kids when we were invited to your home for Christmas and Thanksgiving.  The smile on your face was somewhat bigger than ours as you watched us open presents and eat dinner.  I also will remember making you proud as I turned my life around and joined the Military.  I want you to know that on the day of the funeral I received a phone call to let me know I was promoted.  I can see you smiling know. Tio Gabino,      You were like a second father to me. You were always there to talk to and were always willing to listen. You always encouraged me to do my best and told me that I could be and do whatever I wanted and to have faith in myself. I remember when I graduated from college. You were so proud of me. You gave me a big hug and told me, "I knew you could do it!" That meant the world to me and I have never forgotten that. I will miss your positive attitude, your love of life and the love you showed toward Ron and Briana. No matter what kind of day you had, you always invited us to come over. Every time I would go over to my parents house I always made a point to stop by. Briana would always say, "Let\'s go see Tio Gabino and Aunt Arcelia. Is Tio Gabino going to give me a piece of candy?       Tio, you will be missed, but you are in a better place. We will see you again when the Lord also calls us to His home.  Love Always!

Nino,      I will always have a void where you once stood. When I was a child your were those people in life you could always count on. As an adult you extended the same presence. The Father and Husband I am today is from years of examples you and my Father have given me. I have grown to a man living all my life with you next door, how lucky I was! I hope what you have given me I can pass on to my children. Debbie, Cruz, Cole, Delany and I will miss you forever.... you became so essential in our lives. We only carry on, because we understand your are in a wonderful place, and from there you will continue to touch and guide our lives.    Nino we miss you awefully,   Roger, Debbie, Cruz, Cole and Delany.

Gabino,   It breaks my heart to think I never took the time to tell you how wonderful and special you are to me and the kids. There are so many things I will miss about you and having you around. I will miss hearing your laughter on the other side of the wall, seeing your head pop up when you heard the kids playing in the backyard. Watching you teach Cruz and Cole how to play ball. Coming down the street with kids in tow you would have a big grin on your face and the kids would walk up covered in ice cream. I m so happy that they just got to see the ducks and play at the park with thier "Ino" I will miss the wonderful talks we had and the kind and loving person you are.    We will miss and love you always, Debbie and the Kids.

Gabino was my best friend\'s dad. Becky and I did everything together and that included spending a lot of time at Becky\'s house. Gabino treated me as his own daughter. I went on several trips down to Mexicali and San Felipe with Becky and her family.  I remember very clearly one particular joy ride with Gabino in his 428 Cobra Turino.  We were out on a deserted road somewhere near Mexicali and he let it fly.  Becky and I were in the backseat with our heads plastered against the backseat.  What a rush! Gabino loved that car and he took great care of it. My dad died when I was 12, so having Gabino as another father figure in my life meant so much to me.  He would speak Spanish to me at the dinner table and help me expand my vocabulary. Just a few months ago I brought my daughter Jessica over to the house to visit. Arcelia and Gabino had not seen her in quite a while and now she is a woman. We took pictures of all of us and Eric and Armando were there as well which was a great surprise.  The last thing Gabino said to me was that I should come by whenever I was in town and then he gave me a big hug. He loved life and his family with a great passion. His smile will be sorely missed but his joyful spirit will live on inside us all.      All my love to you Arcelia, Becky, Armando, Eric and all the family.
