Glen Edward Terry

May 2, 1945 – June 5, 2025

Glen Edward Terry, a devoted public servant, beloved family man, and loyal friend, passed away on June 5, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 80 years old.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Glen spent his life in the city he loved. He dedicated his career to public safety, serving with honor and distinction as a member of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. He retired as a sergeant after a lifelong commitment to protecting and helping others — a calling that continued long after he left the force.

In retirement, Glen remained deeply involved in his community. Whether volunteering aboard the Battleship IOWA in San Pedro, contributing to the well-being of his Torrance neighborhood, or patiently teaching others how to use their Apple devices, Glen never stopped giving his time and talents to others.

He had many passions, from Apple products and his cherished cats to country music, biking, camping, and dancing. He especially loved spending time with his late wife, Becky, and their family. His love for dancing was only matched by the joy he brought to those lucky enough to dance beside him.

Glen is survived by his stepson Brian, stepdaughter Christy, his two beautiful grandchildren, and his sister, Gaye. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Becky, and his parents, Jack and Marie.

Glen lived a life of integrity, generosity, and love. As he faced his final chapter with strength, he continued to inspire everyone with his resilience and heart.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Glen’s memory. This was a cause especially close to his heart after the loss of his wife and his own brave battle with cancer.

A private memorial will be held to celebrate Glen’s life on June 30, 2025 at 11:00 am PST. Please reach out to Brian at [email protected] if you would like to attend.
