Gregory "Greg" Zebrowski was born on the Ides of March, March 15, 1951, to Tony and Florence Zebrowski. He grew up with his older brother, Tom, in Locust Valley, a small town on the North Shore of Long Island, New York.
Greg attended St. Patrick's Catholic Elementary School and Chaminade High School before earning a degree in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University. He later pursued his MBA at Dartmouth College, where he formed many lifelong friendships.
During his summers, Greg combined his love of craftsmanship and hard work by rebuilding a classic Jaguar E-Type during the day and working nights as a chef at the renowned Tulip Tree Restaurant, which earned three stars from The New York Times during his tenure.
Drawn by his love of the ocean, Greg moved to the West Coast to join Carnation Company, where he worked in marketing and food service. It was there that he met the love of his life, Maria. They married and built a life together, welcoming their son, Matt, who later married Courtney.
Over the course of a successful career, Greg rose from product management roles to become Vice President of Marketing for several Southern California companies. He brought intelligence, creativity, and dedication to everything he did.
Greg's passions extended far beyond his professional accomplishments. He loved cooking, basketball, fishing, cycling, and travel—especially when it involved exceptional food, fine wine, and an ocean view. In later years, he enjoyed playing online backgammon with his business school friends and preparing memorable meals for his family.
Above all, Greg cherished time spent with those he loved. He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, sharp wit, generosity, and deep appreciation for life's simple pleasures: good food, good wine, good friends, and the sea.
A Funeral Mass will be held at American Martyrs Catholic Church, 700 15th Street, Manhattan Beach, California, on Thursday, June 25, at 10:00 a.m. A luncheon reception will immediately follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
