
Gwendolyn Worley Jackson was born November 4, 1922 in Ft. Worth, TX and died December 26, 2003 in Plano TX. After World War II, Gwen relocated to Southern California, where she became an executive assistant in the planning department at North American Rockwell Aviation. Her love of travel took her all over the world. She especially enjoyed cruises, which included Alaska, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, as well as many of the rivers of Europe.
Gwen is survived by her three daughters, Diane Rowland Church of Plano, TX, Gwen Mills Schmierer of Sparks, NV, and Teri Mills Bentley of Torrance, CA; sons-in-law Peter Church and Michael Bentley; grandchildren: Jill Church Myers, Christopher Church, Daniel Schmierer, David Schmierer, Douglas Schmierer and Katrina Bentley; great-grandchildren: Elizabeth Myers, Jessica Myers, Rebecca Church, David Church and Kaleb Schmierer. She is also survived by her sister, Yandell Worley Swain and brother, Dr. Stinson Worley, as well as numerous nieces and a nephew. Gwen was preceded in death by her parents, William Alvin Worley and Jessie Mae Glasco Worley and her husband of 11 years, Jack Roy Jackson.
Funeral services will be at 1:00PM on Friday, January 2nd at the White & Day Colonial Chapel in Redondo Beach, CA. Burial will follow with procession to Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA
