DeWitt, Helen Marie, age 92, passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2011 in Torrance, California. Born in Hazel Green, Wisconsin, Helen graduated from the University of Wisconsin and married her childhood sweetheart Charles DeWitt. They spent 18 years in southern Louisiana before moving to Houston where she lived her last 46 years. Helen is survived by her daughter, Jane (William) Long of Torrance, CA; son, Charles "Chip" (Janet Sanders) of Brookline, MA; daughter, Ann Sparks of Mountain Home, TX; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucille and Clyde Trewartha; daughter, Dottie Guilbeau; and husband of 46 years, Charles DeWitt.The Memorial Service was held at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Torrance. Burial of the urn will take place at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston, TX.
