Hongyan lived with her husband in Redondo Beach, California, for nearly 3 years. She had a beautiful life in America which ran too short, leaving behind remarkable stories, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Hongyan especially enjoyed walking to the coffee shops for Sunday coffee with breakfast and dining out. She was eager and excited to go to South Bay Adult School to learn English every morning in fall 2023 and spring 2024. She enjoyed the small-town charm Solvang offers, wine tasting in Paso Robles, authentic Chinese food in San Francisco, and California Zephyr train experience on our honeymoon. She enjoyed every short vacations, either visiting San Diego, or playing golf in Palm Springs, or hiking and kayaking in Mammoth Lake. Hongyan was also a big fun for sport events and had a wonderful time going to a Dodger’s game, an NBA game, or an NFL game. She treasured every moment spent with her family and friends and every opportunity to visit a new place in America.
The family would like to sincerely thank her compassionate caregivers, Nikki, Red, Julie, and CK from Amalfi Living Home, with extended thanks to Craig, Adrian, and the medical team from the Providence at Home and Compassus Hospice.
