Hortencia Olmos, a 32 year resident of Gardena, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 in Harbor City, CA. Born in Camargo, Chihuahua, Mexico, Hortencia was 82. She possessed a great faith and touched the life of everyone she met. Hortencia is survived by her son, Javier Olmos of Gardena and her daughter, Maria Wagner of Anaheim. A gathering of family and friends will be held at McMillan & McCormick Mortuary in Gardena on Sunday, October 31, 2010 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm with the Vigil beginning at 6:30pm. The Mass will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Church on Monday, November 1, 2010, at 10:00am with a burial at Holy Cross Cemetery. A reception will be held in the McMillan & McCormick Lighthouse Reception room from 1:30pm to 3:30pm.
