Hugo George Reina, age 68, born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, passed away on August 29, 2026 in Torrance, California.
Hugo was a beloved brother, uncle, and cherished member of our family. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Raul and Elvira Reina, who passed away more than 20 years ago. We find comfort in believing that Hugo is now reunited with them and once again surrounded by their love.
He will be deeply missed by his sister, Claudia Brown, and her husband, Bud Brown; his brother, Bernard G. Reina, and his wife, Julie Camarillo; and his nieces, Yana Brown, Maria Brown, Isabella Reina, and Graciella Reina.
Hugo was a gentle, harmless, unique soul with a deep appreciation for the beauty of life. He had a passion for his abstract Cubism painting, classical music (Beethoven & Mozart), horror movies, playing the piano (especially Liberace), and world history facts. These interests brought him great joy and reflected his creative spirit, curiosity, and love of learning. More than anything, Hugo will be remembered for the place he held in our family and in our hearts. The bond between brothers and sisters does not end with goodbye. Although we wish we could bring him back, we take comfort in the memories we shared and in knowing that a part of him will always remain with us.
Hugo, you were a very special brother.
Your kindness will never be forgotten,
your memory will always be cherished,
and you will forever be a part of us.
Rest in peace, dear brother.
You are loved, you are missed
and you will never be forgotten.
