Jean passed away January 13, 2011 in Torrance, CA surrounded by her family. She was born November 8, 1933 in Kentucky. She moved to the Torrance area in 1963. Jean is survived by her husband Peter; daughter Sheila Novy; sons Dennis Day, Jeff Day (Genina), Chris Day (Patti) and Steve Day, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was a great mother and will be remembered for her compassion and upbeat spirit. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Rice Mortuary, 5310 Torrance Blvd., Torrance, CA on Wednesday, January 19, 2011from 6:00P.M.- 9:00 P.M. with the Funeral Service beginning at 7:00 P.M. The interment at Inglewood Park Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in her honor to the National Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
