Born July 29, 1931 in Hawthorne, California. Died February 5, 2007 at his home in Hawthorne.
James attended St. Joseph Catholic School and Leuzinger High School. He joined the Hawthorne Fire Department at the age of 27 and retired at the age of 55.
James had a passion for the outdoors and loved to spend time fishing, camping, and hunting. He also has a natural talent for cabinetry work. He treasured times spent with his family.
James is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joann, Son James Jr., Daughter Laurie, son John, and pre-deceased by son David. He is also survived by his brother Norman, sister Arlene, 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on February 8, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at McCormick Mortuary 13806 S. Hawthorne Blvd., Hawthorne, CA.
