Jim was born on October 19, 1928, the sixth of eleven children of Peter and Grace McConnachie. Jim is survived by his wife Ronnie, his daughter, Laura, his daughter Veronica, son-in-law, Bill Jones, his grandsons Andrew, Cameron and Nicholas Jones, his son James and his fiancée, Laurie Chavez, Laurie's daughters, Krista, Lauren, and Marissa, his brother Tom, his sisters Grace and Ann and his beloved dogs Roddie and Maggie.
Jim was an AYSO Coach to many of Westchester's young men, coached soccer at Loyola Marymount University and also coached such teams as the Yugoslavians.
