ALTHOUGH I DIDN'T SEE MY UNCLE "BRIAN" OFTEN,{ONLY MY DAD, JACK, CALLED HIM BRIAN, EVERYONE ELSE CALLED HIM JIM}, THE VISITS WE DID HAVE WERE MEMORABLE. MY FIRST MEMORY OF UNCLE BRIAN WAS WHEN HE CAME TO VISIT HIS BIG BROTHER JACK AND HIS FAMILY IN WAWA PA. IN THE LATE 60'S. UNCLE BRIAN WAS STANDING IN THE DRIVEWAY IN HIS DRESS AIR FORCE UNIFORM, HE WAS SO HANDSOME, I WAS 10 YEARS OLD AND I HAD A IMMEDIATE CRUSH ON MY UNCLE BRIAN. I met Jim several times through his brother, Bob. He was, like all the O'Rourkes I've had to pleasure to meet, a thoroughly charming person and a delight to be with. To the O'Rourke family, my wife and I send our fond condolences.   Hall Daily

No one could have loved a foster brother more then I loved Brian. When he moved into our home, I was in 1st grade.  Brian, as we always called him, was in 5th (if I remember correctly).  My mom fell in love with him right away.  He was her little boy.  He called her "Ma" his whole life.  I will remember his sense of humor and the way he made me laugh. He never stopped telling me that he loved me.  I will love and miss my brother, Brian, forever.        I wish God's Blessings upon you, Brian, and may He keep you in His loving arms for all eternity. My thoughts and prayers go out to my Cousin Kathy and all who loved my Uncle Brian.  Our time together was few and far between but the time spent with Uncle Brian were some of the best moments.  I too remember him in Wawa, Pa in his uniform.  I got to see him last...this time of year...10 years ago and I am so grateful he got to meet my two daughters.  I loved my Uncle Brian very much.  He longed for the same family unit that I longed and still do long for. My Dad Jack O'Rourke and Uncle Bob I am thinking of you both. Rest in Peace my dear Uncle Brian.  All my love. I always enjoyed my conversations with Jimmy when he was over for dinner with my mom (Sandy) and Bob.  He had a great sense of humor, and was easy to talk to.      My condolences to the O'Rourke family.  Jimmy will be missed.

Jimmy is a great loss to all that has come to know him. We would cross paths almost everyday for many years and jimmy would help me and many others through their day with his wit, kindness and concern for all.

I am so saddened to hear of Jim's passing.  I will miss him, and honor his memory - always.  Jim lived with me and my son here in my home for seven years. He was always kind, generous, lighthearted and supportive. I did not learn of his passing until today (Saturday) and am so sorry to have missed the service.  If you are his family, please contact me.  I still have mail for Jim at my house and some still arrives.  Some looks like tax bills for his house up north - some personal letters.  I saw him in June and we said we would get together for dinner and he would pick it up - but our reunion, sadly, never came.  Please do contact me.
