Jan lived with my deaf-mute parents and me in 1958-1959. There were several of us that palled around together.  I got married in 1960 and lost track of her after she moved away.  My sincere sympathy to the family.

Janet,    I miss u soooooo much.. i know it wasn't ur time to die.. just as much as i know the same for Mikey.. I believe u died of a broken heart, and i know why because i loved my cousin Mike sooo much just like i love U.. and i know U 2 are reunited in Heaven..with Jesus.. and as i watched this memorial of u and mike.. i cried my eyes out.. and knowing u both made me a better person.. im so thrilled i got to know my blood family and was blessed with every second i was spending with U and Micheal.. so loved You both are.. and remembered and honored in my life!!! :) peace and blessings to the whole family .. Auntie Jan,    You knew You were my favorite auntie! You always stood beside me and stood up for me, You showed me  how to be loved and how to give love.  I will never forget our many talks up north at the cabin and how You truly understood me, and I You.  You were always smiling and laughing and so much fun.  You sang to me "You are my Sunshine" as a little girl.  When we were in San Diego with Mike it was one of the most memorable times Brittany and I had with you and Mike, It was soooo awesome and thanks for staying longer and hanging out with us and letting us use Your car.  You were very unselfish, always thinking of others, but i think like Brittany said, because You loved so much You died of a broken heart.  Mike was such an awesome cousin and child to you and to me, and I will never forget either of You!!! The memories will live on forever until we meet again in heaven with Jesus. Jan Deboe provided a home away from home in Manhattan Beach for our Rachel.  Whenever Rachel would 'get to the end of her rope' with the Sullivan family, she would tell us she was fed up, leaving home, the door would slam, and we would go to the telephone and call Jan to warn her or Heather that Rachel was on her way.  Jan was always there, six blocks away, with a ready snack, an understanding heart and a willingness to listen to the frustrations Rachel would bring to her.  Were it not for Jan Deboe, Rachel's understanding friend, we have no idea what we would have done.  To say that she was there for Rachel is utterly and  literally true. We still are trying to figure out how to tell Rachel about this loss.      Heather, you are in our thoughts and prayers.        David Deboe deserves considerable respect and praise for the way he continued to care for, support and look after Jan.  A tremendous example, a generous and good man.      Where there is love, there are always miracles.

Wishing you and your family strength and peace.  We love Jan (& Michael) and have many wonderful memories that will help us through this sorrowful time. It's hard to understand why people are taken from us, but find comfort in knowing you were a special part of a well-lived life, a beautiful, wonderful, funny, caring lady "JAN". I am so sorry about your loss of Janet. My prayers are for strenght and comfort as you face such a series for difficult times.

I knew Jan when we worked at The Aerospace Corp.  She was a friend of my sister.  I really liked her.  She had a wonderful personality.  I am so sorry for your loss.
