Jo Ann Wasay
December 11, 1947 – January 20, 2020
Jo Ann was cute, kind, and happy; funny and clever; smart, talented, and a protector; independent and capable; beautiful and unforgettable. You are immediately struck by her smile. She took care of family & friends alike. You just felt a lift and comfort in her presence. When you were with Jo Ann, you were in the very best of her kind gentleness, whether you knew her as Jo Ann, Auntie, Coco, Jo Bob, Or Jo; you were touched by her smile, laughter, sincerity, and her genuine care for you. She is survived by the love that she left within each of our hearts.
Memory of Me
I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one. I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done. I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, of happy times and laughing times, and bright and sunny days. I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun, with all of the happy memories that I leave when my life is done.

I’ve been comforted by your kind words and the delightful memories that you have shared with me during the past few weeks since Jo Ann passed away. I am humbled by how many people throughout her lifetime were touched by her kind gentleness. In her wallet, I found a small note that she had written: “there is nothing stronger in the world than gentle friendships. . . .”
