
GOLDSBY, JOAN H., long time resident of Hermosa Beach, CA , passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2001 in Rancho Palos Verdes. Joan was born in Chicago, IL on March 18, 1911 and worked as a bookkeeper for the County of Los Angeles in the Public Administrator's office for twenty-five years. She was the first-born of six children born to Michael and Marie Pollack who were born in Czechoslovakia. She travelled extensively around the world...kissed the Blarney Stone, rode a camel at the pyramids and took tea with a bedouin prince. She enthusiastically enjoyed sailing Lake Michigan with her late husband, Stanton. Left to mourn her passing are; her only child, daughter, Bonnie (Mrs. Robert) Hutchins of Torrance, Sisters: Ernestine Pollack of Chicago, IL and Ruth (Mrs. Emil) Heirendt of Franklin Park, IL and her devoted Granddaughter, Francesca Hutchins of Long Beach, CA. She was pre-deceased by her Brothers Robert and Walter Pollack and her sister Lillian Kusen. Joan's life was greatly diminished by the loss of her other blessed Granddaughter, Tara Hutchins in August of 1993. Family services were held at Pomona Valley Memorial Park.
