Joan Lenarth Healy, wife of Charles Joseph Healy, mother to James, Annie, Maureen, Kathleen and Ted, and grandmother to Dane, Hanna, Christopher, Alexandra, Ellis, Grayson, Paxton, and Odin. Joan passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2012. A labor and delivery nurse for over 40 years, a Lamaze instructor, and a Doula, she helped bring countless children safely into this world. A plant lover (orchids especially!), wife, traveler, loving mother, grandmother, and friend, her legacy lives on through those whose lives she touched. We are honored to have known her and will continue to check up on the ocean and make sure that it is still there, just as she did every day. Mom, Grandma, Joan - we love you more than words could ever say. A celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, April 7, 2012 at the Rice Mortuary in Torrance.
