Joann Margo Doersam

Joann was born September 15, 1934, in Fairfield, CA. She died on Feb 10, 2025, in Torrance, CA at the age of 90.

Joann married her high school sweetheart, James (Jim), in 1951. They were married for 55 years and had 4 children together. She treasured the time spent with her family. Joann loved having her kids, grandkids, great grandkids, family and friends around her. Joann had a passion for the arts and for tennis. She instilled in her grandchildren a love for theater, classical music (especially Mozart and Beethoven) and playing the piano. She loved the outdoors, nature, traveling, and animals.

Joann is survived by her son James V. JR. (and daughter-in-law Katrina), her daughter Laurie Fernandez (and son-in-law Javier), her son John (and daughter-in-law Karen), her brother Mark Edwards, sister-in-law Linda Edwards, 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. She is predeceased by her husband James V, her son David, her sister Marie, her brother Robert, and her mother Ethel.

Joann made each of her family members and friends feel special and they will cherish memories of her always.
