
Mr. Callahan served three years in The United States Army Air Corps in World War II, and there after attended Loyola University of Los Angeles to become a certified public accountant.
He was employed by the IRS for 27 years during which time he received his law degree from Loyola Law School. Mr. Callahan has been a member of the California State Bar since 1959 and has pursued a tax and probate practice as a sole proprietor to the present.
He is preceded in death by Pauline Callahan his wife of 60 years. He leaves their surviving children and spouses; Michael and Barbara Callahan, David and Linda Callahan, Christine and Donald Taugher and Catherine and Thomas Roze.
He is survived by eight grandchildren, nine-great grandchildren and many lifelong friends. Mr. Callahan is also survived by his wife of 7 years, Angela Meneses Callahan, and her daughter Ethel Meneses. A public viewing will be held at McCormick Mortuary Inglewood, CA on 3 January, 2008 from 9 - 10 followed by a funeral mass at Visitation Catholic church at 11:00 AM and interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City.
