
Graduate of Wilbur Cross High School. After high school, John enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he was subsequently accepted into the Airman's Education Commissioning Program, and was assigned to the University of Missouri where he earned his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering. After graduation, he was commissioned as a Lieutenant, and his first assignment as an officer was back to the University of Missouri where he earned an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering.
His subsequent Air Force assignments included Los Angeles Air Force Base Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC); Education with Industry (at TRW, Redondo Beach); Warner Robins AFB in Georgia, where he also taught evening classes at a local college; the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, where he was a full-time instructor in engineering; and a return assignment to SMC.
He retired from the Air Force with the rank of Major after 20 years of distinguished service. After retirement, he joined TRW in Redondo Beach as a Project Engineer, and was also an evening instructor in mathematics at both Harbor College and El Camino College.
After leaving TRW, he earned his General Contractor License and Electrician License from the State of California, and continued to teach at Harbor College through the Fall 2007 semester.
Parents Carl C. Criscuolo deceased and Catherine Kiraly King deceased. He is survived by sister Mary Cappello of Branford Ct., niece Kimberly Morawski of Branford Ct., and an uncle John Mercer of Northford Ct.
