John L. Dunn Jr.

John was born on Aug.18, 1943 in Wilmington, Delaware. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

He worked as a respiratory therapist for over 25 years.

He enjoyed traveling to the Phillippines, Hawaii, Canada; cruising and to numerous places here in the United States; but most of all - pulling the slot machines at the casinos. He loves sports - the Lakers, Dodgers, Rams, Trojans and boxing.

John is survivied by his wife of 29 years, Teena Dunn; children Kristin, Shontae, Shonli, and Abigail. Grandchildren; Teeva, Katelyn, Taryn, Matthew, Kamryn, Andrew, Kelis and Haley Trinity on the way. His sisters; Melba and Linda, Aunt Lois, nephews Billy and Eric and niece Crystal. His mother-in-law, Betty, his favorite sister-in-law Carmen and husband Mac, brother-in-law Andy and wife Susan, sister-in-law Cony and Bernadette.

He is preceded in death by his father John Lee, Sr. mother Laverne Wilson, brother Larry and nephew Tramaine Dunn.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Dec 15, 2009 from 5:00-9:00pm at Rice Mortuary (5310 Torrance Blvd., Torrance, Ca., 90503) Memorial Service will begin at 2:00pm Dec.16, 2009 at Rice Mortuary. Interment at Green Hills Memorial Park (27501 S. Western Ave., Rancho Palos Verdes, Ca., 90275 with a reception to follow from 5:00-7:00pm at Rice Mortuary.
