
John Lee Jensen was born on March 15, 1950 in rural East Los Angeles CA. He was drafted in 1971 and stationed at Fort Ord, After he was discharged he traveled about the country via the hitch hiker express.
In 1976 there was a wedding day for John and Marie Munsch. They moved to Washington State. The year past quickly and needing steady employment they headed back for the South Bay. John would sail along the strand with his faithful dog towing him on the skateboard. Soon he was offered a job with Chevron.
In 1980 his son was born. John was such a proud Papa. Along came a daughter in 1981. Daddy had his little girl. John promised Marie that she would not have to raise the kids by herself and he sold his beloved Harley Davison. The years flew by and suddenly it was 1992.He was working airfreight delivery as an independent operator. He worked for Panic Trucking, Freight Solutions and Metro Air Freight.
In 1999 John tried to prevent a forklift accident, and shattered his right leg just above his ankle. He underwent three surgeries and wore an external fixture on that leg. He spent countless hours in physical surgery. He expressed his artistic talents with many pieces of yard art and bright flowers and colors painted on all the yard furniture. 18 months later he returned to work at Metro. In 2004 John again became an owner operator
On November 23, 2005 he suddenly was taken from us. John was the most loyal loving husband, dad, family man, son in law, and best friend. He was a guy who would give you the shirt off his back. We are all honored to have shared in his life.
He is survived by; his wife, Marie Jensen, son Eric Jensen and daughter, Elizabeth Jensen of Redondo Beach CA, his mom, Virginia Marie Davis, of Yucaipa his sister Joy Howard of VanCouver WA, his brother Albert Davis of Yucaipa CA, his brother LaMont Davis of Los Angeles CA and sister Barbara Parton of Yucaipa CA. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.
