John graduated from San Diego State University in 1966 with a degree in Engineering. He retired in 2005 after a career of more than 37 years as an engineer with Northrop-Grumman. John's favorite activities included sailing, snow skiing, long distance bicycling, running and travel in the U.S.A. and many foreign countries.
John is survived by his sister Lois Petzold Hindin of Pasadena, CA and dear friends, Joyce Carp of Snowmass, CO, Henry Fella of Manhattan Beach, CA, and Larry (Lilly) Niles of Pacific Palisades, CA.
Viewing will be Sunday, March 29, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00PM at White & Day Colonial Mortuary Chapel at 901 Torrance Blvd., Redondo Beach, CA 90277.
The Funeral Services will be Monday, March 30, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Journey of Faith Church, 1243 Artesia Blvd., Manhattan Beach, CA.
Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Mountain View Cemetery, 2400 Fair Oaks Ave. Altadena, CA 91001.
