Swaffield II, John H a long time resident of Hawthorne, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2004 in Hawthorne. Born in Cleveland, OH, John was 61 when he died. John had served in the US Army for over 20 yrs retiring in 1984 As a Master Sgt. E8. John was a member of St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church. Johns two loves were His Family and Golfing. He is survived by his loving wife Patricia of 38 yrs. and 2 Children, Debora (Ken) Davis and John (Angel) Swaffield III, brother, Jim Swaffield of Escondido, CA & sister, Cindy Beeler of New Port Richey, FL, 6 Grandchildren and Mother in law Margaret Bogus. Visitation will be Tuesday 3:00 P.M. at McCormick Mortuary Chapel Hawthorne. A Mass will be offered at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church Torrance CA, Wednesday Oct. 6th 2004 at 10:00AM
Burial will follow at Riverside National Cemetery, with full Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart association.
