
Joseph J. Anzack Jr. was born February 4, 1987 at Women's Memorial Hospital in Long Beach, CA. K.I.A. in Iraq May 23, 2007. Joseph served in Iraq with the 4th Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, Second Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division as a PFC, promoted posthumously to Corporal. Joseph was raised in Torrance, CA, graduated South High, Class of 2005. Joseph played noseguard and other positions for the South High Spartans all four years.
Joseph is survived by his loving parents Joseph and Theresa and sister Casey, Grandmother Betty, Aunts Cheryl, Pam, Joyce, Dawn, Debbie, Denise, Uncles Greg, Roland, Bob, Richard, Doug, Steve, cousins Jack, Betty, Robert, Jessica, Jillian, Rachelle, Michelle, Richard, Dustyn, Dylan, Nichelle, Shirlee, Riley, Chandra, Nicholas, Nicole. Joseph you touched all our hearts and lives in so many special ways. We love you and miss you so. Now it's time to be with your loving family in heaven.
Public Visitation will be held Thursday, May 31st at Rice Mortuary, 5310 Torrance Blvd. Torrance, CA 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM. At 4:00 PM Friday, Corporal Anzack will be transported by Horse Drawn Carriage in procession from the mortuary to South High for services. The procession will travel from the mortuary east on Torrance Blvd., turn right at Anza Avenue, then turn right at Pacific Coast Highway until entering the high school. Funeral Services will be at the South High football field, Friday, June 1st, commencing at 5:30 PM.
