Joseph Sebastian Benfatti – passed away on Monday, June 17, 2019 at Harbor UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, CA. He was in the presence of his loving family. Joseph was the youngest of four and the only boy. Joseph’s father was a union delegate for 27 years and was responsible for all the unions on the West Coast. Joseph’s father didn’t want him to follow in his footsteps, so Joseph started his own landscape business and did various carpentry jobs. In 1987, Joseph decided to hang up his tool bags for a career in sales. He worked in various investments including, gas and oil, windmills, cell towers, and rare coins. In 1999, Joseph answered an ad in the paper for tax relief sales for American Tax Relief at 8383 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly Hills. Interestingly enough, 16 years later he was invited to a business presentation for World Financial Group at the very same address. Joseph’s goal in life was to make sure Tax Relief Systems, the business he started with his sister, Phyllis and brother-in-law, Richard, was a success. He was passionate about helping his clients and many times would work pro-bono to help clients who couldn’t afford representation. In 2015, he partnered with his wife, Robin, to build a successful financial planning business for the two of them, working with the Comfort Zone team at World Financial Group. Joseph was always upbeat, positive and worked 24/7 for both businesses. Joseph hadn’t been feeling well for a few months but still worked tirelessly to build the tax business clientele and to recruit for the World Financial Group business. Joseph touched so many lives with his outgoing personality and genuine care for his clients and Comfort Zone team members. Joseph was the guy whom clients, team members and friends knew they could always count on to be their “3:00 in the morning call” if they needed anything. Joseph is survived by his wife, Robin Rae Jeremiah, his son, Joseph Anthony Sebastian Benfatti, his granddaughter, Emma Elisabeth Benfatti, his brother-in-law, Richard Joseph Lococo his three sisters, Phyllis Marie Lococo, Francis Lorraine Dumont, Joanne Mary Benfatti, and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Joseph will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Gone too soon. We have lost a truly wonderful person. Rest in peace Joseph. Memorial Services will be held on July 20th, 2019 starting at 2:30 pm. Halverson, Stone & Myers Mortuary, 1223 Cravens Avenue, Torrance, CA 90501.

I met Joe when I became friends with my best friends Rick and Minnie Lococo. He became like a brother to me and a great friends to our kids. I never remember one time in Joe's life even facing adversity that he didn't have a huge smile and a sweet heart. He was one to never take a break and always take care of business and he never let loved ones forget how much they were loved by him. Our family has a huge void in it since Joe went to Heaven but his memory will live on in all of us. We love you Joe Joe oxoxxoxoxo Juls, Bobby and Nick, Thomas, Jeff and Max, Bob and Sharon Choulet

Joseph was always so positive and surprisingly energetic. He always had a kind word of encouragement to say and a hearty smile to greet you with.

He was always down to help at a moments notice.

He made you feel that even if no one else believed in you, that he did.

Goodbye buddy,

You will be missed.

Joey , you will be missed more than you will ever know...so many memories, so many laughs it's too much to even begin. Those memories I will hold near and dear in my heart. Those are memories I will keep too myself . I have known you since you would ride your skate board..as a child, and chase Fran and I down the street as we drove away for our night of fun, you always wanted to know where we were going and of course Fran and I laughed, you didn't need to know.. LOL... You helped so many people even giving the shoes off your feet to a homeless man...I loved you then and love you forever... Just remember we are special... You will now rest in peace, in gods hands. .RIP sweetie RIP...xo.

To the Benfatti Family.
My husband and I had the pleasure of being business associates of Joseph and Robin. Joseph always had encouraging positive and motivational words for us
regarding World Financial Group. He was polite and a team player . Robin and I had a running joke about switching husbands whenever they would get on our nerves .We would laugh and say to each other you would return them right way . We will all miss Joseph. Our love and prayers to Robin and the Family..
Love Gayle and Bill James

For the last 2 years, Joseph did more than a lot for me. For example, he folded my towel in the bathroom every morning before I woke up and made sure my car had gas in it. He switched parking spots with me so I didn’t have to find one. However, most importantly, every night before bed we baked chocolate chip peanut butter cookies and had debates over the grocery list (get spreadable butter!!!!) He was quirky and weird and we had a goofy friendship. We loved sharing the #56 from Jersey Mike’s (add mayo even tho you hate it please!) and feasting on Taco Bell (Cheesy Gordita Crunch+ sour cream, Cinnabon delights thx!)
It seems our friendship was more about food than anything but I really could always count on him to want food and somehow always get exactly what I wanted. He loved being there for me in his ways and I loved having a buddy. There’s way too much food in the house now, but make sure to pick up some tacos on the way home. <3
