Helene and all the Warden family this is the hard part of life and I have a heavy heart for your loss. Art was an active part of my family's life during the Girl Scouting days. He was the handyman and partner to load and unload all the needed equipment for every event and outing. Mining every detail along with Helene A man of honor, integrity and love for his family was always showing by the way he lived his life. A person that was admired for the father and husband he was in looking out for his family. Being a working partner for his wife. A helping hand and friend to others. Bob and I always admired him and the Warden family. Grief is never over it just gets easier with time. A friend Ellie Jeppesen

I met Art at Christmas '82, summer '83 and Christmas '89, when holidaying from England. in Los Angeles with my best friend, Lee (Cindy's husband.)
  I have fond memories of those holidays and conversations with Art, whenever I was privileged to have spent time with him and his loving wife, Helene. 
  Art was a very proud husband and Dad. Ever since Lee moved to America in January '84, he has always spoken highly of Art, who became a second Dad to Lee. 
  My own memories; although too brief, are of a gentle, quiet man, who always had time to listen to other people. He certainly had time for me, after losing my own Dad in '85. When I visited California last, at Christmas '89, Art and Helene took time to console me on Christmas Day; when I visited for lunch with Lee, Cindy; the latter who was carrying Art's first grand daughter, Hayley. 
  He had a dry sense of humour and always had a glint in his eye when talking enthusiastically about his love of aeroplanes and cars; topics close to my own heart. 
  If memory serves me right, I think he had an old, immaculate Ford Mustang in his garage. I think he was a secret "boy racer"! 
  You will be sadly missed as a husband, Father, Grandad and special friend, Art, but you left a very positive impression on my life.

I have so many treasured memories of Art. He was like a father to me for decades. I remember New Year's Eve 2014, when the heat went out in the house I was renting.  Art and Helene came over so that Art could try to find the problem and fix it. When it became apparent that a vendor would need to come over the following week, Art and Helene told me I would be coming home with them in the meantime, rather than stay in that cold house.

Needing to take care of a few errands before I reached their place, I showed up a few hours later. When I pulled into the driveway, Art had the garage door up and was waiting to welcome me into the house and take my things to the guest room. Once I was settled, I found him upstairs in the kitchen making deviled eggs for New Year's Day. I'll always remember the quiet time we spent together making those eggs and talking about so many different things. I felt so safe and protected. Art was like that, always taking care of the people around him.

So Sorry for the loss of your lovely Dad and Grandad, Art was definitely a character and I have fond memories of meeting him. Sending all of you lots of love from Marie (Lee's Mum) xx
