"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. From now on, I will await the call of the righteous judge, to receive the reward of the resurrection that God promised to all who endure until the end of their lives strong in faith." — 2 Timothy 4:7-8
Juan Zelaya, a noble man of profound faith, quiet strength, and immense dedication, passed away peacefully at the age of 87, surrounded by the enduring love of his family. Born on June 24, 1939, Juan lived a long, full life defined by his unwavering commitment to his beliefs and his community. For 40 years, he was a deeply devoted member of his congregation, prioritizing his spiritual walk and living strictly by the guidance, scriptures, and values he held dear. His faith was the anchor of his life, and he gave his time, energy, and heart generously to the community he loved.
Juan was a proud patriarch who leaves behind a powerful legacy of resilience. He is survived by his devoted family, including his daughters, Cecilia and Doris, and his sons, Angel and his youngest Victor, who all loved him deeply and stood by him. His family fought tirelessly to ensure his comfort, dignity, and care until the very end.
Though our hearts are heavy with this catastrophic loss, we take comfort in knowing that Juan has gone to a better place and is now at peace. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family, his friends, and all those who knew the strength of his character.
Rest in peace, Don Juan. Your legacy of faith and devotion will never be forgotten.
