Karen will always hold a special place in my heart. I will always remember her kindness and how she never gave up. I loved teaching her children. They love God with their whole heart and poured their love out to the people. I thank God that Karen and her family touched my life. Hey, Karen say hello to my Dad. I am looking forward to our talks when I get to heaven. Know that we will continue to pray for your children and that God will protect them and watch over them. You gave them a legacy of your love and taught them the most important thing- who God is and that Jesus is in their hearts!

Karen was a sweetheart. She was a good friend of mine and a best friend of my big sister "Patricia Cowley". The last time I had shared a moment with Karen was at my neices birthday party which was held at "The Spot" (Pizza Place) in Lake Havasu, Az. I have a picture of her holding my daughter "kamara" with my Sister "Patricia". That was almost 6 months ago. Karen will be missed as a good friend, great best friend, the best mother and the best daughter, anyone could ever have in a life time....

Karen was my best friend.  I am blessed and my life is better just by knowing her.  She was my first real friend when I moved to Havasu back in 93'.  She went to church so we could be friends, that was Grandmother's rule.  We grew up together and have been through a lot.  Karen has always been a strong woman.  Knowing what she wanted, going for it and getting it everytime.  Anyone who truly knew Karen knew that when she put her mind to something she made it happen.  She was a driven woman with a very persistant personality.  Motherhood became her, she did very well for herself as a single mother.  She lived for Alexa and Raymond and worked hard to give them the best.  For them I'm sad the most, we'll always be there for them.  Karen loved church and during her long battle with cancer she showed me what faith in God and grace really were.  We've had a lot of fun together and as I'm sitting here writing this I have a smile on my face thinking about her.  Even though we weren't always Angels here on earth, I know you are one now. I knew Karen through my big sister Stacey they were both very close. Karen is a strong women that had a heart of gold. She was beautiful ,and now the only thing that I can dwell upon is the fact that she is now in heaven and is a beautiful angel watching over us. She is dearly missed by all of her friends and family. I now that I personally did not have bonding time with Karen but I didn't need bonding time because just when I saw her its like the whole room lit up. I heard an expression that a person in thier life will touch at least one persons heart, but with karen it was different becuase she touched the hearts of everyone she knew. Her loved ones and friends are in my prayers.

Karen was a member at Living Word Family Church for right around 4 years. In the time that she was a part of our lives she was such a blessing to each person she came in contact with. Miss Karen was a great teacher at Living Word in the Veggie Village class. She was a great influence, and mentor to each child she taught, inspiring the kids to enjoy a life with God. Each year at Christmas she would put together a small program for the kids to do in front of the church - costumes - singing - and all. The kids will miss her very much. What she taught those children will stay with them forever. She led many kids to the Lord and even taught her own kids how to lead other kids to the Lord, and they did. Karen was and is a great friend to us both. We met Karen when she started attending our church. We only had a few years, but we made a lot of great memories. We would go camping, watch movies, do dinners, and have bonfires in the back yard together. We will miss her tremendously. Our love and prayers are with Raymond and Alexa. You guys are great kids and we will always be praying for you guys, God has a plan for you!! I knew Karen for 4 years. We taught Veggie Village togeather at Living word Family chiurch. Karen was a beautiful, sweet, sister in the Lord, who greatly touched our lives over the past year and a half.  I was blessed with the opportunity to go on a trip with her to Houston, Texas last year.  It was at that time that a sweet bond of friendship was made.  From that time, until she moved to Calif., our family made nightly trips to her home to pray with her.  What wonderful memories!  After she moved, I had the opportunity to do lunch with her on two different occasions, while traveling in Ca.  Her faith in Jesus, to stand in the midst of a battle, is an encouragment to all.  Karen, you are greatly loved and will be greatly missed, but we praise God for the victory you now walk in.  Alexa and Raymond, we love you very much and always will. Intelligent,loving,caring,and beautiful,but most of all brave. These are just some of the things to describe this great person that God put in our lives, as a mother, daughter, family member, and friend. It saddens me to learn that my dear friend has passed. So many memories rush through my mind as I remember Karen from our first day of Kindergarten to celabrating out childrens birthdays. While growing up I moved to and from LHC a few times, moving back to havasu was always so comforting knowing that Karen would be there for me.
