Kathryn Ellen Williams

Kathryn was born in San Pedro, California to Ronald and Mary Jo Gentry on November 24, 1953. She was the first born of 3 children and the first grandchild welcomed into her family. She is survived by her parents, husband Chris, son Jason, brother Dan, sister Karen, nieces Andrea, Kyla and Kory, brother-in -laws Kurt and Mike, sister- in- laws Kathleen and Stacey. She was best known to her family as Chatty Kathy and Lion Jaws. Kathy attended Dahlquist Preschool, Cabrillo Avenue Elementary School, Dana Junior High School and San Pedro High School. Her very first job was at H. Salt Fish and Chips and then later she went onto nursing school at Los Angeles Harbor College after graduating from San Pedro High School in 1971. Kathy graduated nursing school in July 1975 with her Registered Nursing Degree. Kathy worked as a nurse for over 38 years at various hospitals with numerous duties. She worked at Daniel Freedman Hospital, Centinela Hospital and later at Torrance Memorial and Little Company of Mary for Health Care Partners. Kathy married Christopher Arthur Williams on May 7, 1977 in Manhattan Beach, California. Kathy and Chris welcomed their son, Jason Christopher Williams into the world on January 11, 1983. She loved her son, her husband, her family, her friends, her cats, her books, cooking, gardening, the sun, the beach, sewing, English history, cruises and her personal pursuit of knowledge. Her laughter and unique sense of humor, feisty nature, and giving spirit will be incredibly missed. She will be in our hearts forever.
