

Kenneth James Maloney “Muldoon” was born April 10, 1924 and passed away on February 2, 2013 after an incredible 88 years of life. Kenneth was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years Patricia Ann Maloney. Kenneth served during World War II in the Merchant Marines and was stationed in Alaska. Kenneth owned a machine shop in Los Angeles and was a Master Machinist. In 1979 he opened his dream business in downtown Torrance, Mr. Muldoon’s Stamp and Coins. He was able to run the store until January 2006. The family would like to extend their deep gratitude to the staff and caregivers at the Huntington Retirement Hotel where Kenneth lived for the past few years. Kenneth is survived by his sons, Kenneth James Jr, Edmond, Dan (Sharon), Brian (LeslieAnn), his daughter Maggie (Steve)Tedesco and his grandchildren, Crystal, Tom, Ryan, Nathan, Alex, Adam Maloney, and Sarah, Katie, Dominic, Jake Tedesco. Mass will be held at Nativity Catholic Church, in Torrance at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 7, 2013. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Mary Star of the Sea High School Development Fund.
