Larry Erickson, born April 18, 1945 in Los Angeles, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2009 in Gardena at the age of 63. Larry graduated from Gardena High School in 1963, after which he proudly served in the U.S. Air Force as a jet aircraft mechanic until 1967. He enjoyed the time he spent with family and friends and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his son, Brian Erickson of San Marcos; mother, Lorraine Erickson of Gardena; brother, John (Kathy) Erickson III of Borrego Springs; sister, Rosalie Donnels of Torrance; nephew Dennis (Stephanie) Donnels of Lakewood; niece Candi Donnels of Westchester; nephew John (Karen) Erickson IV of Clovis; and niece Jeanna Erickson of North Fork. Larry was preceded in death by his father, John Erickson.
A viewing and visitation will be held at McMillan & McCormick Gardena Chapel, 1016 W. 164th St. in Gardena on Thursday, February 26, 2009 from 9:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon followed by the funeral service at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes.
