I have so many wonderful memories of visits from Uncle Vern during his families annual visits to Wisconsin. Being from Wisconsin I don't think Uncle Vern ever got over the beauty of "cow country". He would always comment on how many different shades of green the hillsides had. He enjoyed taking pictures of the barns. Both he and Aunt Shirley were so much fun to be around you could not get enough of them or their children, Gary and Cherl. There was nothing like being included on a trip to wisconsin Dells with them. They made me feel a part of their own family not just a neice. When I moved to California I lived with them for a few months and again, I was a part of their family. This time I had rules though so I guess that did make me a member of the family and just not a guest. Thank you Uncle Vern for all the fond and wonderful memories I will forever hold dear to my heart. Thank you for your soothing gentle voice, your laughter and your concern.
