
Lee William Rohrer, 61, a lifelong resident of Hermosa Beach, died at home on Friday, November 4, 2011.Lee was the son of Claude and Mary Stonier. He attended North School, Pier Avenue Junior High, and Mira Costa High School. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from CSU Dominguez. Lee enjoyed puttering around the house and yard, going target shooting and throwing water balloons at the neighborhood kids. He also liked to barbeque and to spend time with his family, neighbors, and friends. Lee was one of a kind. He was a free spirit with an inquisitive mind, a unique sense of humor and fun, and a heart of gold. He had an opinion about everything and he was always ready to share it. Lee was a little rough around the edges, but his talents were endless. He could accomplish anything he set his mind to do. He will be remembered as a kind, generous and fun-loving person Lee is survived by his wife, Laura, of Hermosa Beach; step-children: Miranda (Mark Li) Doyle, of Oregon; Blade Doyle of San Jose and Cody Doyle, also of San Jose; brothers, Johnnie (Jan) Stonier of Hawaii, Patrick (Polly) Stonier of Oregon and Mickey (Karen) Stonier of San Diego. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. A paddle-out memorial service to celebrate Lee's life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2011 on the beach at 16th Street, Hermosa Beach.
